I'm not a reptile specialist and i will admit that i have weak identification skills with this family of animals. I can't find any keys or tips that are useful for separating Lacerta from Zootoca. Perhaps someone can give me a few tips for separating these two species?
Meantime, i think that the species in my photo is Lacerta agilis simply based upon the markings. I found it in a forest where the Zootoca is supposed to have been recorded but i can't see a match with Zootoca. Is anyone able to confirm my identification?
edit: found in Berlin, June 2017 in a sandy forest area.
Thank you and Best wishes,
John
