Hi Cvenkel,
no, this is not
granulatum - that species is much more "granulate"/rough. It looks like something closer to
maculatum or
klugii or some such, but that's just a wild guess for general direction ...
Fauna Europae only lists three species for Slovenia, but that is nonsense - the Balkan is quite rich in Isopoda, especially
Armadillidium spp., so it must be that somehow Slovenia does not have enough published records or some such. Not even
Armadillidium vulgare is listed
If you put together the species of
Armadallidium that FE lists for Slovenia, Croatia, Bos.Her. and "Yugoslavia" you get a list that is much more indicative of what you might expect (24 spp). Maybe a few of these don't occur in Slovenia and there may be some others instead that you share with Austria or Italy or some such, but around 20 spp is a fair guess I think.
Of all those species, my knwoledge is just too limited. Most of these I have never seen, so I should try to find (original?) descriptions of all and work through these. Currently I don't have the time for that.
Maybe you have better chances with this one on the Italian forum of
Natura Mediterraneo?
Sorry, Arp
