With the exception of S. albilabris, which is much bigger and normally (not always) lacks the black abdomen end (that is, why I am not sure in this case).
Thanks for your input. The specimen definitely was relatively big, i.e. bigger than a honey bee, but I have no idea how big exactly. I have to study your measurement method, Cvenkel, but that will take some time. Also thank you for the literature.
For the time being the bee will remain Sphecodes sp.
